For the month of October, as the leaves fall, and weather cools, I will be showcasing creative ways to carve out home office space and here is why:

According to the National Association of Realtors, the #1 feature buyers are looking for in a home due to COVID-19 is: Home Office Space

(yard for exercise growing food, etc & space to house more family are tied at #2 & #3)*

SELLER TIP: If you are planning to sell a home, highlighting areas where you can have productive workspace is desirable for homebuyers.

From working at home with the whole family quarantined together for the bulk of this year, I’ve found it helpful to ‘change the scenery. Whether it’s the kitchen table, chaise lounge by the balcony or ad hoc office space from a nook neglected during pre-COVID days, moving my laptop to multiple workspaces boosts productivity, creativity — & blood flow.

My friend’s Vancouver townhome that just hit the market and my fellow colleague and her stager created several welcoming work spaces you can easily re-create in anybody’s home. Check out more photos in the slideshow HERE or, if you’re in Vancouver, check out the first open house happening this weekend.
